The G4s I cannot vouch for despite to say that John Mc led Bellers, Richard M and Alan to Cranleigh and back to Tanhouse at a decent lick where they joinedthe rest of us... who were escorted on a lovely strava-free, stress-free G1/2 bimble via Rusper and Henfold to Tanhouse.
The gentle speed was slowed further by spending about four miles from Ifield Wood virtually to Capel behind two horse riders who kept breaking into trots on less-than-well-managed steeds every time we thought we might be able to pass. The law of 'large animal unpredictable' kept us behind until definitely safe.
And on, with newcomer Maggie, Cris, Maria and Nick to Tanhouse too where the sausage rolls and shelter was warm and the tea stop full of cyclists from Addiscombe and SWRC.
