Yes, I think there were a total of 5 punctures between the groups that caused a few delays but each time we were stood chatting in dappled sunshine so no hard feelings!
The picture shows the moment when an incoming UFO dive bombed the assembled throng who we're sunning themselves on the mid pond affair. It was fun.
A very special mentions today however for Mark E who turned up at the Drome on a full sus MTB with knobblies (tubeless ones that also punctured and required a tube ironically!). Mark t pace easily for over 50 miles at 15.2mph ave. And Graham B on his first road ride of the year also strong. Just make sure that you don't lead with a Queen's gambit!
Route. Axes Lane. Lodge Lane, Horley, Charlwood. Rusper. Green Lane and across the railway line to Warnham, Broadbridge Heath and onto Barns Green. Back Southwater, Hammerpond Rd, Colgate, Faygate, Lambs Green, Charlwood (pace upped here!) and home. to everyone for a great morning.
