Sorry, no cows allowed

A pleasant Sunday morning spin for 5 enthusiastic RCC off-roaders. Dry trails, warm sunshine and good banter provided the essential ingredients.

First up was a customary photo shoot, on this occasion at the top of Reigate Hill. The nearby cows were only too keen to join in and perhaps felt they could bolster our rider numbers. Unfortunately none had helmets so we had to decline and press on. Phil left us at that point but I hasten to add not in protest at our decision to leave the cows.

The trails have finally dried out a bit making the going easier and a bit faster too. Familiar ascents and descents through Headley, High Ashurst and of course the infamous "jolly tough hill". The A24 has a shiny new olympic surface but no time to admire that as tea and cake beckoned at Bocketts. Even warmer sunshine for the home run only to be spoilt by a complete deluge back at Reigate Hill car park. I suppose it helped to clean down the bikes.

Our small group enjoyed 20 miles of exercise, scenery and good company plus we didn't need a back-marker!

See you soon,
Conor
