Yes, Wednesday saw the first proper 10 of the 2012 club TT season and, whether there were concerns over weather or whether it was just half term hols a comparatively small field of 15 took the chance to try their pace
We were pleased to welcome riders from Morden, Crawley, Redmon, Blazing Saddles and G S Stella as well as your own favourites for what turned out to be a dry evening with a wind that never really seemed to be in your face so we all had a great ride.
Charl kept up the chase for top spot with a splendid 21.20 ahead of a rejuvenated and very fast Neil Candler (21.58) whose new bike fit seems to have done wonders. 3rd was taken by the continually improving Ray Sullivan (22.03) so all podium places were taken by RCC riders.
In the handicap competition Brian Hennessey wiped the floor with everyone, even Neil Candler who was second, just ahead of Ray Sullivan.
Rick Gregory, last year's handicap champion bagged the points for 4th place
Many thanks to John Eg for setting the course and running the clock and to the injured Jonny Bradbourne who started the riders.
Hope to see a few more next week....
