A small group dragged themselves out of bed early for the turkey burner ride, which kept the pace high and meant we could use a few trails not really suitable for a crowd. A quick lap around the wilds of Walton, Juniper and Headley got in 15 miles in a little under two hours and didn't spare the climbing, nor riders legs as a late puncture delayed us and we sprinted down the last mile or so back to Reigate Hill.
We lost a few of the early group who had other commitments, but gained a larger group out to try out all their shiny new Christmas presents, eat some cake and perhaps get some exercise too. A similar route at a gentler pace took us down to Bocketts for tea with Alsation in-particular providing some laughs.
With everyone fuelled up after cake and the return leg looking a little short, we diverted over Juniper and down Murray's tricky off camber traverse, much enjoyed by all. Then home over Headley.
