MTB - RCC Organised >> MTB Intermediate/experienced - Starting From Newlands Corner
A cold and Frosty morning

The conditions were perfect for a December ride at Newlands Corner.
A heavy frost and bright sunshine ensured that the trails were firm and fast. We found very little mud for most of our 22 miles, which included a mixture of sandy heath land, pine woodland and rocky gullies. 21 riders made it a very enjoyable social ride, which stopped for tea at Peaslake. The only real climb of the day came at the end, climbing back up to the top of the North Downs. The leading pack used up the last of their energy on a sprint to the finish.
