Hills. Dust. Sun. Cake. A couple of 'too close for comfort' horses. A good morning!
The route for my 'Godstone Classic' is probably fairly well known to many, so I'll just give you the highlights....
The weather just keeps getting kinder! It was a beautiful day, the trails were dry, with plenty of dust kicked up by the passage of knobbly tyres- don't follow Gareth and Marcus around a fast corner, you'll be riding blind!
We nearly had a pretty big collision with a horse that was hiding around a tight corner and 'just jumped out', honest!
Perhaps the greatest moment was the free wedding cake from Knights!
All in all, a well paced ride up and down some good hills, in between some great scenery and broken with a good tea stop in the sun!
