Sunday Showers

I woke up knowing the clocks had changed - hooray, a lie in!  Up I sprang looked out the window and my heart sank. It had rained all night and was still raining, so off I went fully expecting to return home in one hour with a no show at the Angel.

No chance, not on a G1/G2 Sunday social. Nine strong including me, we headed off for Penshurst in waterproofs with mudguards fitted, all keen and willing.

Welcome to Kathy on her first ride come back soon and stay for the chocolate cake!! It was also good to see Chris again who was very strong although professing to be unfit and as for Kieran: G3 for you very soon indeed.

The rain did not put us off and we even had the pleasure of passing a lost Nick Curran en route (no shock there then).

Coffee and toasties were what the doctor ordered at Quaintways to be joined by Mr Houghton who drove over for a cuppa then home for a kip on the sofa whilst we rode the 26 miles back to Woodhatch.

Well done to everyone if your name wasn't mentioned: you know who you are.

In all a wet but most enjoyable ride 51 miles at 13.4mph , check out the diary for next week to see our next adventure!!
