Steady ride to Seale and back

Eight of us gathered at Woodhatch; the short, fast ride having left earlier at 8. The ride out to Seale was uneventful. Alison turned back at Busbridge; she had to be back for her uncle's 90th birthday celebration. The remaining seven stopped at the Manor Arts Centre to replenished themselves with home made soup, scones and a glorious array of home made cakes.

Shortly after heading back it started raining heavily. In Elstead, after a quick confab, it was decided to cut short Mike's meander through the Surrey lanes and take a more direct route through Milford. Jim then set a good brisk pace to bring th eparty back to Reigate by 3.
For those that are interested - Distance cycled: 77 miles; average speed: 15.3 mph; height climbed: 3000 feet.
Next week, Bruce will lead a ride towards Ashdown Forest.
