12 riders turned up on a very damp morning at Leigh villiage green. We set off at a good pace with my paper map instructions towards Holmbury passing through Shellword Manor.Across the A24 we then climbed up through Redlands woods to Coldharbour village. We were making good pace so did the Summer Lighting trail before climbing up to Leith Hill tower. After a quick tea stop we headed back to Coldharbour visiting the Deliverance trail.
Everybody took the chicken run down the hill except John Houghton who completed the technical drop section. He sadly had a blow out at the bottom and came off injuring his shoulder. John was advised to get a pint in the pub whilst we made our way back to pick up cars to collect him. We upped the pace on the return trip descending down to Holmwood and passing through Hammonds copse. We returned to Leigh at 1pm.
Many thanks to Graham B my back marker. You will be pleased to know John was picked up from Coldharbour and we all wish him a quick recovery
