Anybody want to come out and play? (...or ride?)

With the poor weather all week plus the fading evening light, it has been hard to get cycling this week. The weekend promised good rain free weather and the good folk of RCC went to bed Friday night, setting their alarm clock, dreaming and anticipating a good day out on Saturday. So... riiiiinnnnng... the alarm goes off... run to the curtains, peer out and lo: brilliant radiant sunlight. Way hay, it's like being a kid again.

About forty five kids turned out at the Hatch this fine morning. Eight of the naughtiest decided to go on my G4 ride to Borde Hill. We were also joined by racers Stuart and Dom which was bound to ensure a healthy pace.

A delicious day with some delectable hills including some of the Burgess Hill sportive reverse route which was taking place on the following day. It was good to take stock of the 20% Cob Lane in reverse.
The Borde Hill route is a leg stretcher and is ideal training for a hilly sportive. Shame I was doing the Rumble the day after!

All in all, approximately 50 mile @ 17.1mph
