Today 13 Redhill riders set off from a slightly overcast Newlands Corner.
We headed west and climbed up a sandy trail to St Marthas church. We were met by hundreds of runners coming down the hill, taking part in a triathlon. I hoped that a few might notice our stylish new Redhill riding tops as we rode by, and will find their way to our website and increase the club membership !
The heavy rain which fell last night was certainly a blessing, it made the sandy paths firmer and easier to ride.
Across Blackheath and Farleigh Common where a long climb heading south spread the group.
Reaching Peaslake early about half the riders opted to add an extra loop by climbing to the top of the BKB trail before tea.
A long climb to the top of the North Downs proved to the lads that girls can do it just as well. Helen, Cheryl, Sally and Monika, you do the club proud. Now wear your Redhill tops !!!!
