Rupert Rides a Record 50

Rupert Burbidge broke the club's 50 mile TT record on Monday in the 'a3crg 50' with a breathtaking 01.51.19.

The previous record holder, the awesome Peter Main, set some extraordinary TT times at all the major distances in 1999 and we must congratulate him again at having held them for over a decade. It has been a hard, slow process for our top riders to get close but make no mistake, Rupert's achievement here is phenomenal.

The racing and TT season is nearing it's end for 2009, it won't be long before we face the challenge of maintaining fitness through the harder months.
