Another good turnout at the park, with three well attended rides. Our racers, in two teams, were battling it out later in the Surrey League Team Time Trial, so there was no Sporting ride today. Chris Hall led a Social ride to Tulleys, chased down by Pete Mortimer leading a Fast Intermediate to the same destination.
Lisa Deefholts led the newcomers ride with Sharon as backmarker and saving our legs for Sunday's Sportive were myself, Stuart Greig, Maria and Ian Taylor happily taking it easy on a lovely ride to Charlwood. Also there were regulars Richard, Jo, Katy and Say plus Tim Sales, out for a sociable ride.
But at the Charlwood tea stop, we noticed that Addiscombe CC have a large number of their own mugs! This is a favoured stop of theirs. Lisa, quick as ever said 'this calls for a Redhill teapot!' And what a fine idea! Maybe we should have a competition for the best design and either install it here...or at Lingfield or Penshurst, proving that our riders go further!
