Early Risers race in Sussex

David Motton and Trevor Chilman headed south to East Hoathly for the Eastbourne Rovers 10 mile open time trial earlier today.

The quality field, including former Tour de France yellow jersey wearer Sean Yates, had sunshine and gentle winds on the rolling Sussex course.

Fastest of the Redhill riders was Trevor Chilman with a time of 23:38 closely followed by Dave Motton with 24:01. The winner of the event, pipping Sean Yates by 5 seconds was Iain Brogdon of Eastbourne Rovers in a time of 21:59.
