Godstone and Beyond

A small by current standards group of 18 set off from Godstone pond at 9:30, going east towards Oxted. Heading north into the hills, we climbed (pushed) up a hill made impassable by the mud.

I've never seen it that bad, honest! The second half was more rideable, and we were soon pelting down the other side, stopping only to avoid horses and a dog, or in a certain someone's case to

smear mud down themselves by sliding across the floor. After a brief stop to collect everyone, we managed another 'quick' up and down before pulling into Knights for tea and cake. We finished

with a climb up to the A22 and then view point (with plenty of slipping on the harder climb). A final fast descent back to Godstone got us home. A traditional thanks to Grace for back marking

and everyone who covered corners in-between!
