A big thank you to Trevor Chilman for dragging me around the Lewes Wanderers Grand Prix Des Gentlemen time trial course in an excellent time of 45-56.
Trevor was the "young gun" to my "old man" in this enjoyable format and our time over the 18 mile sporting course was good enough for 7th place overall from the 92 entrants.
The event was held in the most appalling conditions with torrential rain for the entire day, with a gusty gale force wind trying to knock you off for good measure. (However, at least the conditions were the same for everyone which is not always the case)
Fastest overall on the day were Karl & Mel Roberton - Worthing Excelsior CC in 43.13 with David Shepherd - Liphook Cycles RT & Ben Fielden - A3CRG fastest on Std time +13.44
