27 riders turned up for todays route from Newlands Corner. After warming up in the cafe we decended down to Blackheath using a excellent piece of singletrack with lots of tricky rocks to avoid. From here we rode along a very muddy byway through Farley Green to the top of Pitch Hill. It was then fun again decending into Peaslake.

After a quick tea and cake a few riders went directly back to Reigate whilst I lead the 17 others back to Newlands Corner. We climbed back up to Farley Green and then back onto the muddy byway again this time heading north to Shere. Whilst Phil fixed his chain a couple of us played in the river with lee making an excellent effort to clear the stream!!!!!.

It was then time for the longest climb of the day back up to Newlands Corner. We all got back at half one covering 17 muddy miles in total.

Many thanks to my back markers John and Sue
