Two great Saturday morning rides...

Now Redhill really has something for everyone with the start of the Saturday 'Sporting' ride as well as the more leisurely Intermediate Ride. A great turnout at 9am at The Angel and we divided into two groups. Mark Vincent led the Intermediate ride to Tulley's farm (lucky people, they got tea and cakes).

Allan Hopkins led the racy bunch off for some hard work from Brockham to Rusper. This was a big group of 16, an impressive sight in club kit but tricky to manage so we split again and went off for some fast circuits. It was great to be in the company of some of Redhill's top riders, Leigh Smithers, Geoff Clifton and Richard Sanders included, very inspiring for the new members and they didn't try to burn us out! Later, most people headed for home then Allan led the remaining half dozen for a few circuits around Charlwood with some sprint sections.

THIS is the way to really stretch the keen new riders (and me!) My computer said 50 miles at 19mph for the morning, certainly felt like it!

I hope we will see you all again next Saturday BUT we won't be pushing it; we will be saving our legs for the CLUB HILL CLIMB on Sunday 5th Oct.Keep your eye on the CALENDAR! The following week, Sunday 12th is the BRAMLEY SPORTIVE.
