Turned out nice again!

Nine brave souls turned up for the start in spite of dark clouds and a strong westerley wind, it looked ominous but became glorious!

Alan Broken Wheels Bush had a dastardly route to Penshurst but Nick Curran wasn't amused and disappeared, we thought we'd find him reading the papers at Quaintways but no. Then Mark Vincent broke a wheel, obviously applying too much power! Andre and John Dredge kindly offered to accompany him home.

So Steve-no-prisoners-Walter upped the pace and myself, Eric Thomas, Alan B & Bruce charged off in search of tea. The Weir Wood Reservoir visitor centre staff looked at us as if we were martians and pretended they had no cups, so we headed to Quaintways in Penshurst. What a perfect place and now the sun was out.

A nippy pace through stunning scenery on the way back...I blame Steve and Bruce of course. 63 miles at 16mph average in total. Faster than the usual Club Ride but hey, if you don't stretch those legs, you don't improve!
