22 riders mustered at the top of Reigate Hill on what was a perfect morning for an off road ride. Setting off promptly at 09.30 we rode across the top of Colley Hill to Headley and on via Langley Lane towards Leatherhead Downs. For once we took the bridleway running adjacent to the golf course down a brisk descent, crossing the main rode and onwards in the general direction of Bocketts Farm. Progress was swift, making Bocketts by 1030 so we pushed on, to much dismay and threats of mutiny in the ranks (!), via Bookham Wood, followed by a short road section through Westhumble. From there the short sharp shock was the ascent of Box Hill to a well deserved tea stop. The route back was straight across the top via Headley Heath and the golf course, weary heavy legs at the end of 22 miles but no punctures or other incidents.
