'20' is the New Black

Trevor Chilman won Round 3 of Redhill CC's 2008 time trial series, and joined the suddenly expanding group of riders to have recorded a sub-21 minute time on the GS338 (Horne) course.

'Prior to last Wednesday the only RCC rider to have achieved this feat was Martin O'Connell, back in 2003', commented timekeeper and club president John Eglington.

But within the space of two weeks we have seen, firstly, Jon Masters (1 second slower than Trevor this evening), and now Chilman, with a time of 20:53, added to this elite group - testament to the growing strength of the club's time trialling squad in 2008.

The latest round had yet another good turnout of riders - seventeen - with only one more round to go at Horne before we move to the G10/57 course at Horsham for June and July.

Thanks go to John Eglington for timekeeping, Russell for the photos and David Tallent who was pusher-off this evening.

(If you want the originals of your photos, please email Russell - see contacts page for details.)
