Godstone Green to Tatsfield led by Frank

Leaving Godstone Southbound on the old Eastbourne Road we turned left into Bullbeggars Lane turning right at the end into Church Road, the bridleway to Leigh Place is a short distance on the left.
The track we took (Leigh Place Lane) is extremely muddy in places and passes beneath the A22 Godstone bypass and leads to Jackass Lane where a right and a left turn took us towards Broadham Green where the first puntcture of the day occurred.
From Broadham Green go north to Spring Lane which leads to Oxted Mill. Continuing on brought us to Woodhouse Lane in Oxted where a slight dog left to the left put us on The Greensand Way,this is a foot path so should be walked (in a perfect world).
Aleft turn at the end of the footpath took us onto Limpsfield Common, Take the main path across Limpsfield Common crossing Wolfs Road,Brick Kiln Lane and Kent Hatch Road until you reach Ridlands Road.
About a mile down Ridlands Road we passed a group of houses on our left where we picked up the Greensand Way again.
Following the GW signs took us North towards Watts Hill.
Crossing the fields we arrived at the A25 Westerham Road East of Limpsfield.
A short distance to the East is Broomlands Lane, this took us past a sandpit and over the M25, (look for the suberb view of Titsey Church and the ridge to the North). From the end of the bridleway turn left and right onto Titsey Hill,a short distance on the right is White Lane, this is quite a steep climb and it was noted this hil is used bby the Catford CC for there hill climb.
At the top a right and left took us to the Beaver Water World. The Café is open year round,
The ride had taken 2 hours with about 20 additional minutes lost to punctures,I shall repeat this ride in the summer and will interested to see how longs it takes in dry conditions.

The ride back was straightforward,we took the Croydon Road towards Warlingham for about a mile and used the first Bridleway on the left that took us into the valley and to Warren Barn Farm, from there we went straight across the road and turn right into Butlers Dean Road.At the far end cross over the road and turn left on the Bridleway that runs along the edge of the golf course.
Joining the N21 route took us back past the Woldingham School to Godstone.
The return trip to Godstone of about ten miles took just over the hour.
