Alex lead the ride and was suffering a bit of a hangover, needless to say most of us could still not keep up with him. Brilliant Winter sun and a certain crispness in the air was what 16! riders had on a rollercoaster ride to peaslake in the Surrey Hills.
It was superb riding which included a few of lung busting climbs as well as some eye watering descents, and of course some swooping, twisting singletrack.
With the leaf litter lying thick it added an extra dimension to many of the trails.
A Tea stop at the village stores in peaslake saw a chance for many to rejuvenate, although for myself a chance to regurgitate, (sorry if any were offended as I bought back memories of the previous evenings excessive consumption of party juice, these new licensing laws are dangerous!)
The bomb hole link up (aka The Yoghurt pots) from the top of Holmbury hill started with some fairly steep drop offs which all riders took and handled really well.... it was great to share in the enthusiasm Again Again some cried.
With About a mile to go back to the cars I lost 1/2 the group hope you all got home safely !
