Redhill Cycling Club was founded in 1946 to promote all aspects of cycling and
that is still our aim, though in the intervening years cycling has
undergone many changes.
No one aspect of cycling is promoted at the expense of any other,
and our members are active in all aspects of cycle sport including track racing,
time trials, road racing, ultra distance events, off-road riding
and cycle touring.
We also have a very active social side that encourages participation
in club runs, foreign visits and club nights.
We cater for all levels of ability from the novice to the experienced
and all ages from twelve to whatever.

If your interest is cycle racing you would be joining a club that provides a
full calendar of events on the road through our affiliations to the
National bodies.
During the summer months we promote weekly evening time trials on local
courses over a distance of 10 miles and at the weekends members ride open
events of varying distances and Redhill riders have frequently taken the
team prize in such events.
Should road racing be your chosen genre you would not be alone as every
week Redhill riders are to be seen in the thick of the action on local
courses in Surrey League events.
All our racing activities are co-ordinated by our
Racing Secretary
who will be pleased to provide any further information or guidance.

Should you not be interested in racing or are not ready for competition the club
provides many other cycling activities the most popular of which is the
weekly club run.
From October to May members meet every Sunday at 9:30am outside the Angel,
Woodhatch on the A217 for the club run.
By riding in company at a brisk pace the miles soon slip by and after a tea
stop at halfway it’s the ride back.
A very sociable way in which to get in the miles, chat with fellow members
and a good opportunity to seek advice if you have a technical problem.
During the summer months club runs are on an ad-hoc basis but details are
available on our web site.
If you find long distance rides appealing there are members who undertake cycle
tours and others who ride Audax events.

|
Every week the club organises an off-road ride - details can be found
here.
Redhill Cycling Club has been organising MTB rides throughout the year
since 2000, during which time the number of participants has grown.
The rides are designed to cater for off road cyclists who have a degree
of MTB experience but who are perhaps looking to improve upon their
fitness and technical ability.
Each ride has a Ride Leader and a Back Marker, for larger groups
there are middle markers who help to keep the group together.

|
By way of non-cycling activity the club holds a meeting on the first Friday of
each month.
The venue is the Royal Alexandra and Albert School, Gatton Park, Reigate, Surrey. RH2 0TD
and meetings start at 8pm.
If you are unsure about how to get to there or any other location that
we use on a regular basis please look at our
Meeting Place page.
